Father McKenzie

Father McKenzie is described as a religious fanatic and borderline cult leader. He allegedly brands his crew and makes it his mission to convert those he encounters into following his god. Alaric Graves warned the party about him when the party docked in Alymthyr. 

Ronyn encountered Father McKenzie during the event Count the Cost. There is was revealed that the god he follows is Shar and he is able to see the mysterious shadow that follows Ronyn in mirrors. Father McKenzie stated that he believed that Ronyn must be a profit that had been placed in his path for some reason.

During the event All the Lonely People, it is revealed that Father McKenzie was the one that revived Aila after she was killed. He apparently developed an infatuation with her after she became influenced by the Crimson Tear earring. He believes that she harbors the powers of the earring that was shattered, though the party knows this to be impossible. During that same event he ordered Hoots' death and captured Aila. He was ultimately thwarted when Ali rescued Aila and sunk his ship. 

Following the event The Way of the Fey, the party began to suspect that Father was somehow connected to the disappearance of the cursed earring. After traveling to Alymthyr to collect Ali, they learned that somehow Father McKenzie had convinced the guards to release Ali into his custody several months ago, much to their dismay.
