Duke Zalto is leader of the fire giants in Storm King's Thunder.
Stats Block
See the "Stats" tab below. Because he's leader of the fire giants, I've buffed up a regular Fire Giant from p. 154 of the Monster Manual:
- Higher than normal hp (9 hp per d12)
- A slightly better INT, DEX and AC (12, 10 and 19 respectively)
- a Legendary Action of move (usually with a free disengage on that movement)
For an even greater challenge for your players, replace the bandit captain and bandits in our Claim the Highground article with Duke Zalto and some fire giants minions hurling rocks!
