Fjordside Fey Village
Score: 196 | 1/3/23 |
A small river flows into the village, parting to flow around the great tree in the center. The trunk is easily thirty feet across and roots reach 10-20 feet out into the water and a twenty food drop to a pool below. The river finds its way to the fjord about a mile away.
A small river flows into the village, parting to flow around the great tree in the center. The trunk is easily thirty feet across and roots reach 10-20 feet out into the water and a twenty food drop to a pool below. The river finds its way to the fjord about a mile away. The riversides are covered with colorful mushrooms and the most amazing flowers.
Fey homes nestle among the roots, hidden by brush and camouflaged by mosses. More hide among the branches.
Glowing lights float throughout, casting a golden glow over everything.
Foot tall pixies with dragonfly wings flit about. Smaller ones dart from place to place.
Dryads peer out from the trees and climb the main tree.
Water nymph naiads slink in and out of the water.
Within the crown of the tree are a number of “room” like areas. Branches weave together to make an approximation of walls, but more like tightish fences. There are no flat surfaces and none of the walls stop the gentle breeze which blows at the perfect short-sleeve temperature of the place.
The lights are part of what keeps the place existing in the feywild and the material plane at the same time.
