Martin

Martin is the human advisor to the king and queen of the Alyrican Empire.  He is a stoic and intelligent human with more years behind his eyes than his body resembles.  He is the main "go-between" for the royalty and the adventures.

Not much is known about Martin's past.  He is not forthcoming with personal information and few dare to ask such personal questions.  He spent many years studying at the Miskatonic Citadel under Xander and quickly rose through the ranks of the Oracle of the Ancients eventually becoming their leader.

He is extremely knowledgeable in all things arcane and magical.  Some believe he is descended from Alhazard but he merely laughs of such rumors.  Regardless, he has come to possess more knowledge than Xander.  Many believe him to be the strongest mage in Arandi.

Martin is very friendly with those he meets but stern when needed.  He often loses himself in his studies only being aroused by the needs of the king and queen.

He serves as Titus's most trusted advisor having met the young king during his time studying at Nidarlan.  The two became fast friends and that friendship has continued to this day.  Martin helped facilitate the marriage to Elynor via Lord Elidyr and has supported all the king's and queen's endeavors.

In recent years, Martin has turned his focus towards his studies and, with the queen's assistance, made the Capital Library the shining beacon of the empire, outshining even Castle Highreach.

Lately, Martin has become troubled by concerning reports in Nevland.  He spends countless hours reading over histories and studying ancient manuscripts.  He has even send out invitations for renowned travelers to gather in Lorn for a special mission.
