XOtech was an information technology firm that specialized in quantum computing. Their success led to a virtual takeover of the market, buying out big-name competitors and capitalizing on the R&D divisions to jump years ahead of foreign developers.

When Exo-Tech created the first neural-net quantum processing architecture it cemented its place in artificial intelligence history. Particularly, when their first quantum neural-net mainframe went online at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

The original Mega-Comp 1 was the very first prototype of quantum neural-net computers. It had gone through multiple versions until version 9 was stable and able to self-repair and learn. Its creators soon realized that MegaComp 9 would spawn versions of itself in any other QNN machine that was online. It was then that Exo-Tech scientists isolated the computer to the basement datacenter beneath ORNL.

After the dissolution of the Federal Government, XOtech was uniquely positioned to provide IT support to all of the former government’s information systems. The company quietly moved all functions of government into a centralized data-call center at the former Department of Defense headquarters. Upon the formation of the Union of American Corporations the company was deeply embedded in the national communication infrastructure and secured a seat at the Union's board of directors’ table.
