Kiersey Mirrorwind and Feyre Norixius, hidden from sight in the ethereal plane, enter the royal library of Alsrynne, a grand room in the royal palace filled with shelves of ancient tomes and portraits of past rulers. Lord Dorian Blackthorn and his son, Sir Cedric, are engaged in a conversation, unaware of the eavesdroppers. The atmosphere is tense, with the flickering candlelight casting long shadows on the walls.

Lord Dorian Blackthorn: (sighs) "Cedric, you must understand the gravity of our situation. The rumors about the mines in Whiteridge being reopened—this is no small matter. We need to ensure our position remains secure."

Sir Cedric: (frustrated) "But, father, why must we involve ourselves in this? We have our own lands to worry about. Let the Mirrorwinds handle their own problems."

Lord Dorian: (firmly) "It's not that simple. If the rumors are true, and townsfolk are disappearing... it could be a sign of something far more sinister. Our allies depend on us to act wisely and swiftly."

Sir Cedric: (softens) "I know, father. But I can't help but feel that we’re being dragged into something much larger than we can handle. What if the Harpers are right? What if Marcello's resurrection means something terrible is coming?"

Lord Dorian: (lowers his voice) "That is exactly why we must be vigilant. The kingdom is in a fragile state. We must present ourselves as loyal and dependable. If Marcello's return is a threat, we need to be prepared."

Sir Cedric: (nodding) "You're right. We should gather our forces, but we must also be cautious. The Mirrorwinds have always been unpredictable, especially that bastard child of the queen..."

Kiersey and Feyre exchange glances. Before they can react, the door to the study opens, and King Marcello enters, his regal presence commanding immediate attention.

King Marcello: (smiling warmly) "Ah, Lord Dorian, Sir Cedric. I see you're deep in discussion. If you would, please join me in my study. There are matters of great importance we need to discuss."

Lord Dorian and Sir Cedric bow slightly before following King Marcello into the adjoining room.
