Lumos LeStrane

Lumos LeStrane is a respected and honorable figure, known primarily for his role as the commander of the Order of the Silverhand, a heroic figure dedicated to protecting the realm from threats such as unsanctioned alchemists and heretics. His leadership of the Silverhand is lauded with stories of his bravery and determination spreading widely among the populace. The people that have heard of his exploits admire him for his efforts to maintain law and order.

LeStrane's motivations are altruistic, driven by a desire to prevent further tragedies like the loss of his brother. He is someone who has dedicated his life to serving the crown and safeguarding the welfare of the people, earning him widespread respect and admiration. LeStrane's reputation is  built upon notions of integrity and honor, making him as a principled leader who upholds the values of truth and righteousness. Stories of his unwavering commitment to his duties and his willingness to make sacrifices for the greater good are many and inspiring. 

LeStrane maintains a demeanor befitting his esteemed position, projecting confidence, authority, and professionalism. He inspires trust and confidence among the populace, and is a respected and revered figure in the eyes of the people. Most call him a paladin, despite all of his works as a state alchemist and scientist. 

Despite his public appearance, those that know him and his methods also know how ruthless he can be when it comes to hunting unsanctioned alchemists. He knows where they would go to gather ingredients, the smell of alchemy labs even days after they've been dismantled. Several glass blowers give him information on those that buy a suspicious amount of bottles, the same for alchemy supplies like alembics and dried ingredients. With the unlicensed alchemists unable to  get what they need easily, Lestrane has effectively reduced there numbers to fractions of what they used to be. The ones still on the run have to use shoddy equipment or dangerous substitutes. Often the Silverhand will come across an illegal lab and find the users dead from a disastrous mistake. Still Lestrane keeps up the pressure, putting open bounties on any unsanctioned alchemist turned in. Not only are monetary rewards given, but also vouchers for free treatments for those that aid in a capture.
