Birthright: Legacy of the Bloodlines
In the land of Anuire, where the divine essence of nations flows through the veins of a few, the destiny of kingdoms is eternally entwined with the fates of the ruling families. In "Birthright: Legacy of the Bloodlines," players will embark on a multi-generational saga, where their decisions ripple through time, shaping the future of their lineage and the land itself.
Prologue: The Blood of Kings
It has been eight long years since the once united kingdom of Medoere and Diemed went their separate ways. Heirl Diem still harbours deep discontent about the split despite the passage of time. However, life continues along the picturesque Southern Coast of Anuire, where the tranquil shores and stunning vistas provide a welcome respite from the tumultuous political climate of the region. Although the current relative peace is a welcome relief, many fear that it is only a fleeting moment before new conflicts arise, and the future remains uncertain.
Generation One: The Setup
"The beginning phase of our game is crucial as it sets up the foundation for the rest of the adventure. We will be organizing weekly or bi-weekly games, focusing on realm-based actions that will influence the direction of the game. In addition, we will also be running Adventures similar to a traditional D&D game when everyone is available. As a player, there may be instances where you will have to step into the shoes of alternative characters, in the case where your primary character is not available for a particular adventure. This allows for a more immersive gaming experience where the game continues to progress, even if not all players are present."
Generation Two: The Expansion
The second generation is born into a world that has already been shaped by the actions of their parents. During this era, there is a strong focus on expansion in terms of territory, politics, and economy. The characters must navigate the consequences of their parents' decisions while also forging their path. They will explore uncharted lands and may even encounter lost bloodlines who have their claims to power.
Generation Three: The Schism
As the houses are established and borders are expanded, conflicts start to arise within the family. The current generation faces a schism in the bloodline, where different branches compete for power. The players must navigate civil wars, succession crises, and the delicate balance of upholding the ancient pact that holds the land together.
Generation Four: The Reckoning
In the fourth generation, the consequences of past actions are catching up. The magic of the bloodlines is fading, leading to a decline in the land's health. The characters must investigate the reasons behind this decline and search for forgotten pacts or ancient magics to restore the strength of their blood.
Generation Five: The Legacy Fulfilled
In the fourth generation, the consequences of past actions are catching up. The magic of the bloodlines is fading, leading to a decline in the land's health. The characters must investigate the reasons behind this decline and search for forgotten pacts or ancient magics to restore the strength of their blood.
