Faldyr has lived his life and earned his rest. After retiring from his job as a fletcher, the only thing he enjoyed more than his warm bread and butter in the morning, was hearing the laughter of his grandkids. Sadly a plague had come over his town, causing many to get sick and pass away, two of these being his children leading to him taking care of his grandkids. They fell sick with the same plague, so he set it upon himself to look for a healer in Baulder's Gate. Times were tough on the road and their situation was only getting worse. Trying everything in his power to make them laugh or smile, all his attempts failed. That was until he found a book in pristine condition on a uncommon path, this book was called The Imagined Territories. With the condition of the book, it piqued his interest causing him to take the book with him.
That same night in an inn, after tucking his grandchildren in, he decided to look inside the book and it was there his mind became filled with the truths and knowledge of this world that resided inside a book. With the knowledge he gained, he passed out and in the morning, his grandchildren looked a little better. Something told him he should make his way back to his hometown, so he decided to get back on the road despite the whines from his grandkids. It was until one night he decided to read to them. As he read and they laughed, he realized they had started to magically heal, so he kept reading to them every night until at one point, there were no more stories in front of him. Shocked at this and not wanting to risk the reverting of their health, he came up with new stories, seeing in front of his own eyes, these stories being written into these blank pages, building the world in his own two hands.
