Badiat is an ice devil https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters/16931-ice-devil, the daughter of Melchir, the powerful ice devil who supplies the City of Brass with most of its water. Due to her father's near monopoly on water in the city, Badiat has enjoyed a life of privilege. However, she holds little power herself, having a myriad of siblings, and a father whose attention is elsewhere.

Badiat is expressing her rebellious teenage energy by going behind her father's back and supplying water at a low price to Al-Nase, a dedicated faction who works to preserve the interests of mortals in the plane of fire.

Badiat has become infatuated with Greta; she is very concerned with the girl's welfare in the city of Brass, due to the Great Efreet's plans to strike down Al-Nase and launch a raid on the activist's base. She would like to convince Greta to go home to Daggerford, and hopefully also find some sort of way to come with her.
