
The party finally has a plan for dealing with the Turangol Arch Dungeon, but as with most plans...

After an Accident transported the party into the Swabashian Arch in the events of The Arch Mimics Turangol, followed by the party Exploring the Turangol Arch Dungeon the party of Thorgrim, Grackle, Joe, Piper, Mica, and Koroko find themselves near where the Magic university should be. They are trying to find a way to get to where Thark would be in the dungeon.
The doors for the Magic University room are double doors at the end of a short hallway. One of them is open a small crack. There are two doors on the other side of the hallway for the Alchemist Shop and the Magic Shop. There is a swirling effect in the hallway in front of the party and goblins materials in the hallway. They look around and say, “We’re in the same place but a different place.” They spot the party and rush to attack.
Thorgrim tries to talk to them. They respond but do not lower their weapons, so the party figures they are not in the mood to parlay. Some of the party tries to subdue their goblin opponent. At one point one of them reaches for a gold medallion around their neck. Another says, “Not yet!” then the one with the amulet is subdued. The last one surrenders.
Casting detect magic, the amulet is big magic, it seems to have the seal of Master Vastar on the back. When questioned, they claimed to have found it while looting. It takes them to the same place but a different place every time. Searching their pack, it is full of snacks that seem to be similar to the snack shop in the Magic university.
Koroko chooses to kill his rather than leave them behind to come back and cause problems. He then kills a second one. The last one wants to come with the party. They take him and head to the Magic University. It is a series of interconnected room with paintings on the wall mimicking the Magic university.
In the main room is a bunch of Master Tahir’s apprentices. They smile at the party. Micah recognizes some of them. He calls out. They say that many apprentices are there. Space has been folded and travel between the levels is being done by some amulets Master Vastar has made. They say to go through the snack shop and there are some lizard folk and Master Tahir is past them. They say to go find Tahir and report.
As the party enters the snack shop, there are ten lizard creatures and suddenly most disappear to make them similar to the party. After defeating the lizards the party looks around. The shop is much larger than the real snack shop. There are various snacks strewn about. There is also a bucket labeled Anti-Gravity Paint, some shiny copper coins with pictures of skeletons on them, and a tube that has earwax in it. Thorgrim finds a box of popcorn and eats some, in honor of Swabash and his love of the treat. He gets a Whimsey for his trouble.
Going through a door to the atrium where there are alien looking eggs. There is a stairway leading up to where the Master’s offices are located and at the top is Master Tahir sitting at a desk directing people. Trying to walk past them, the alien eggs open and facehuggers erupt out. Mica kicks the goblin into one of them to distract them. The one about to attack Piper gets the goblin instead. Master Tahir casts an anti-gravity spell on the party and they float above the aliens. As a parting shop, Mica kills the one on the goblin, leaving him with a wicked scar.
The party floats up to the level of Master Tahir and he brings the party over to the balcony. He welcomes them and explains that an accident has happened. The party gives him a report of what they have encountered. He says there is a sense of division in town. People are split between multiple levels of the same Turangol dungeon. There are no statues in the dungeon. Some people are folded into multiple locations. He asks what version of Denowith we came across. The party explains about their interaction with him.
Tahir says it seems like something is trying to take over the Swabashian Arch. Tahir thinks something is playing with the people of Turangol. At this point it is still playful, but at some point, it might turn bored and malicious. Tahir thinks there is some being squaring off against Swabash for control. They think it might be the god of War, but he is not playful. Tahir thinks it is a son or daughter of Swabash who is challenging him for control. Swabash had a daughter who was the Spirit of the Arch, but she left to “find herself”, and she may have returned.
When asked Tahir says the ferry to Thark is in this dungeon, but he is not sure if the portal near the Magic university is working or not. The party figures they should head to the docks and see if they can get to Thark. Tahir agrees with Ethyn that the solution might be over at Thark. Mica asks if there is a wheelbarrow they could borrow. Tahir is confused but says yes but wants it back eventually.
They provide a room for the party to rest in Master Tahir’s home which is in the Dimension of Nowhere. He explains the color-coding lines of the esheresque home. He mentions that people who are phased in multiple levels can be combined here in Tahir’s home. After three days the party is antsy to get back into things. They want to stop at the Magic Shop and Alchemist shop before they head for Denowith.
On the way out, the party encounters giant ticks in the snack shop. They pause to kill them. At the door to the Magic university are some Journeymen for various Masters. They ask where the party is going. The party says Thark. The journeymen ask if they are going to the docks or the walk across portal. The party asks if the portal is active, since Master Tahir didn’t know. Neither do they as they were too cowardly to leave the safety of the Magic university. The party leaves in disgust and heads out.
The door to the Magic Shop is a heavy door with a dragon doorknob. Micah looks to see if it is trapped, and it is. He disables the trap and then picks the lock. A voice from inside says “I have bars across the door” Micah opens the door, but it hits a brace. He wants to know who we are. Mica says that this is the first time they have found a person in their room. Mica asks if he is turning to air or something. The voice says yes, that might be. He is the Mustache of Master Droom. He suggests we find out who is turning to ice and where they are, for we may end up needing to solve a puzzle of who is turning to what element and where. It is possible. The party asks if he is just a moustache how did he bar the door. He says he is a handlebar moustache.
The party convinces the moustache to open the door. He says when he does there will be monsters. He says do not kill the moustache when they enter. The party agrees. The door opens to rhino-miniatures. The party defeats them. There is a floating moustache behind the counter. Most of the items are representation of things drawn on the walls. The moustache points out some things that are actually there. The moustache point s out a healing stud, a deathroll scroll, a wand of detect undead, a blindfold, and a scroll of haste. The party thinks of what they are looking for. Thorgrim wants something to make hitting easier and reaches into the counter and pulls out a wrap that adds to hits. Piper takes the healing stud from the wall. Joe wants damage gloves but gets hurt and nothing is in the cabinet. Mica wants something to help with curing and gets a holy symbol of Swabash. Koroko wants dragon leather and is damaged.
As they leave, they hear the door being barred again. Heading around the corner they get a sense of a secret door nearby. The door opens to a curved portal into a rough cave-like room. There is a tree shape in the room and there are large mantis warriors. They attack the party. Thorgrim subdues his, and the insect asks what is going on. Thorgrim tries to explain what they think is going on, then casts a blessing on them and they turn to small bugs and fly off. Through the tree is a spinning portal that they party assumes is Thark.
