Daegon Ezranthir

Daegon Ezranthir is the 45 year old mayor of Beregost. Head of the Town Council, he has ultimate say over any and all decisions within the town. 

Daegon desires to return Beregost to it's once prosperous position as a major center of trade between Baldur's Gate and Amn. He will do what he sees necessary to put his town back on the map, and though he has good intentions, Daegon has a tendency to step on some toes with his decisions. 

His latest endeavor, The Opulent Owlbear, has gathered quite some opposition to Daegon's position, and many seek his resignation. Utilizing eminent domain, Daegon has seized land from several farmers to use as a space for the construction of the ostentatious new inn. He believes that the resurgence of travelers to Beregost will return the good fortune of the town. 

Indeed, his plan was a success, and many travelers, weary from their journeys, found their way inside The Opulent Owlbear, whether to partake of food and drink, sleep in a comfortable bed, or rest their aching muscles in one of the inn's relaxing natural Hot Springs.

Recently, however, the mysterious blight that has settled on the town has pushed travelers to steer clear of Beregost entirely, instead preferring to push on to the next stop. Now, Daegon will pay handsomely for help ridding Beregost of this plague.
