Fistandia Resmythe, born in Baldur's Gate in 1312 DR, The Year of the Griffon. Born to Baldurian aristocracy, her family held high influence with the city's Archduke, allowing Fistandia access to train with the Archduke's Arcane Advisor.

Eventually, Fistandia would meet the Dwarf Conjurer, Freyot Toldugarr and the two would soon fall in love. Together, they would journey across the Sword Coast, in search of hidden knowledge and long-lost secrets. Devoted to the Goddess Mystra, the two sought to expand the knowledge of magic available throughout Faerûn.

In the year 1358 DR, The Year of Shadows, the Gods were cast into the Material Plane, forced to walk amongst mortals in their avatar forms. During this time, Mystra attempted to leave the Prime Material Plane, defying the will of Ao, the overgod. For this, she was destroyed by her fellow god, Helm. The calamity caused by her death resulted in thousands of Mages tapped into the Weave having their minds ripped asunder. Sadly, Fistandia's lover, Freyot, would meet his demise during this dark year.

Following this, Fistandia roamed the countryside for some time, seeking to continue on their journey in honor of her lost love. The bitterness and agony that at at her heart would ultimately drive Fistandia, in desperation, to turn to the Goddess Shar. She begged Shar for peace, for the memory of her love and of her loss to be wiped from her memory.

Shar, seizing an opportunity, imbued Fistandia with power like she had never experienced before. Whispering dark promises in Fistandia's ear, Shar gave the Mage what she sought and more. Her mind wiped of the memory of all love and loss that she had been shown through her life drove Fistandia to a place of darkness and pure spite.

Seeking nothing more than to appease her new Mistress, Fistandia set to work on a plot to restore Shar's domain. Fistandia would return to Candlekeep and her studies, under the guise of continuing to broaden the knowledge available to the Fortress.

In reality, Fistandia sought to rebuild the Dark Justiciar order and bring about a ritual to release the Night Serpent Dendar from her maze-like prison beneath Chult. In exchange, Dendar will consume all light and warmth in the universe for Shar.
