On Scabard, a 'Place' can be as big as a solar system or even galaxy, or as small as a store or a single room in a dungeon.
With the 'Place Category' attribute (see 'Filter' tab at right), you can specify the type of the place: a store, a dungeon, a kingdom, a forest, etc.
If you have the time, it's really helpful to draw a campaign map, which you can upload to Scabard if you have a Hero subscription.
