The city that arose from the first vessels to make landfall were beset on all sides by might hexapedal creatures. It took lifetimes of documenting and thwarting these threats that enabled the rise of what would become Al'Faqor. While the original names have been lost, modern historians date the etymologies of the three cities to that of Alpha, Beta, and Gamma Cores, the initial settlements.
Al'Faqor rose to prominence because of the defensible geographical area, enabling for a quick expanse into neighbouring regions. Growing exponentially, many of the families favoured by SecComm secured lucrative deals for power and wealth, establishing the first Great Houses of Ashin. The mix of the ports on Al'Mutajamid and the geothermal energy production of the Whistle Country has led to a sprawling city, growing steadily, even now.
As growth continued, they were met by the struggling Beta and Gamma Cores. Eventually, competing for the resources being sporadically distributed by SecComm, the Core settlements descending into a short but bloody conflict. This saw the first heavy handed reaction by Union, moving their resources from the Isles to colonies on the mainland.
The city of Alpha Core, was eventually conquered by Geraldine the Great's Third Empire, renaming it to Al'Faqor after the numerous cultural and religious cults that had sprung up.
The city was held by one of the Federalist forces against the Crown Royalists during the the Federation Wars.
Now it is still a growing supercity with a large political impact across the globe.
