Escaping the Maelstrom, and resuming the voyage to Peaksport.
Equipped with the tools you needed to escape the Maelstrom, you set about to fixing the Mistpiercer. By carefully measuring a replacement mast with illusions, taking down the existing rigging, and removing the old remnants of the previous mast, you cleared the way for Imrae to cast a spell far beyond her normal grasp - your support allowed her to move the replacement mast in place, then brief repairs made the Mistpiercer ready to sail.
Channeling magic even more powerful than the telekinesis Imrae borrowed, Elswyth reached out through her connection with the natural world to grasp the power of the Maelstrom surrounding you. The storm however - or something within it - fought back; it took several hours, but with the combined efforts of the group Elswyth was able to quiet the storm and keep it at bay long enough for you to limp free of the storm. She channeled the last few vestiges of the scrolls to set the wind at your back, and the crew basked in the rays of the sun for the first time in days.
You kept busy over your travels - Elswyth tended to the ship's chickens and traded eggs with Zhig, and began the process of training the squonk to squonk on command. Mood counseled a distant Percival, and made strong headway in learning to navigate by the stars before his forthcoming departure; she also caught a compelling vision in the stars of a dense jungle that left her feeling trapped. Jakai nurtured his relationship with she Shadar-Kai children, and with the woman they fused into: Linzi Morningstar. He trained the twins to fuse when they're scared, and with Morwen and Alhorn's help discovered the presence of what might be a geas in her mind. Morwen nurtured his relationship with his Storm Guard, incorporating martial combat into their worship and - with the rest of the party - counseled the crew on treasure that was causing conflict.
A week into the voyage from the Maelstrom, Hollow Sound of Wind alerted Macaw - studying Claec lore in the crow's nest - to a curious sight. You saw the approach of two ship sailing in tandem, and saw them split apart the moment they became visible on the horizon.
