Dr. Remi Goodwin

A well-respected inventor and famed Mechanus, Dr. Remi Goodwin has made a name for himself in many creative circles. In his older years, Remi wanted a companion to accompany him in his workshop while the created his inventions. He found a black market vendor and purchased a young fox cub. Feeling that he had been a bit overcharged, he was astonished to find that the small cub happened to be a kitsune. Kitsune is a magical creature that can shift between several forms. Finding the cub had advanced intelligence he decided to make her his apprentice and teach her all he knew. Finding she made a quick study and served him well he was quite pleased to trust her with many daily tasks and work. But he never quite got around to giving her a name (she ended up giving herself the name of Neuma). 

Dr. Goodwin's fame spread across the land and made it to the ears of Lord Grey wolf. He was less than pleased to hear that Dr. Goodwin had been secretly practicing such advanced arts within his realm and not in his service. As punishment Lord Grey Wolf had him and his young apprentice thrown in his lake prison, Gauntlet of Lord Grey Wolf. 

There Dr. Goodwin tragically met his fate and was crushed by some falling rubble during an escape attempt. His last words were to his apprentice Neuma urging her to to go his old colleges at the Tower of Penial.
