In 1461 DR, Year of Three Goddesses Blessing, the village of Gersherant was cursed with the arrival of three hags. The trio established themselves and over the next few years bartered to have a hut built, in the swamp. They refer to themselves as the Sisters Divine.

By 1480 DR, the Sisters Divine had become a fixture in the area and the townsfolk had accepted the fact that they were not leaving.


The coven of the Sisters Divine brings forth unique spells and abilities from the three sisters. Their power comes from the magic they weave into their pot.

Grestalin, Lady of Wilted Twilight, brings

  • the ability to cast magical darkness. While this magical darkness is in effect, the three hags have devil sight. Grestalin must be the one to concentrate on this darkness.

Nehsafarin, Lady of Fallen Grace, brings

  • the area of the hut and inside the hut is unhallowed ground with the following effects.
    • scrying and detection spells into the area fail. Only the hags can scry out.
    • teleportation into or out of the area fails.
    • concentration spells cast across the threshold fail.
    • area effect spells cast outside the hut succeed but do not affect the hut, nor inside the hut.
    • instantaneous spells from outside the hut, or attempts to cast a concentration effect spell inside the hut, requires a spell casting test DC 10 + spell level.
    • concentration spells active with the hut, cause the caster to hear a buzzing. This distracting buzzing, causes them at the start their turn with a concentration check to retain the spell.
    • while in effect, the cauldron is treated as a magic item
    • if Nehsafarin dies, these effects end.

Ezachia, the Lady of Returning, brings.

  • any undead summoned by her do not need to be re-controlled.
  • any undead summoned by her, that can see her, are immune to turning.

The hags ritual spell list includes.

  • 1st level (4 slots) : identify, ray of sickness
  • 2nd level (3 slots): darkness, hold person, locate object
  • 3rd level (3 slots): animate dead, bestow curse, counterspell, lightning bolt
  • 4th level (3 slots): phantasmal killer, polymorph
  • 5th level (2 slots) : contact other plane, scrying
  • 6th level (1 slot): create undead

lair ability.

  • blood magic. once per round, one of the hags may place the blood of another creature into the cauldren and attempt to cast dominate person.

hellfire cauldron.

  • this is the focus of the coven magic. while the coven is intact, the item is magical.
  • the cauldron was forged in the furnaces of hell and is considered an extraplanar items.
  • it the cauldron is destroyed, shared from the cauldron may be used to forge a tuning rod to be used with the plane travel spell as the material component to reach the gates of the nine hells.
