Roch Kingsley

Once an esteemed watchman, Roch served at Torpenhow Hill as a keeper of peace, working out of a barracks and with other like-minded individuals. After enough time, and a certain amount of greasing (local brigands or criminals may have used him for information), his dirty coin led a trail back to his watch post. For his crimes in assisting bandits, and the potential loss of life it caused, Roch’s left pointer and middle finger were cut from his hand, and a traitorous brand was burned into his palm. From there he was exiled, losing any standing he once had, the admiration of his parents and siblings, and the woman he was working towards marriage with. A shell of his former self, angry and alone, Roch left Torpenhow Hill with his final pay and the watchman’s kit he retained, chased out of the town by rule of law. He now works for himself, running from his past and trying to make a new life.
