The party stop an execution

The Bear was sceptical of the story of a devil queen but Elnorin (a dog at the time) transformed back into an elf. He added to the story and swayed Ursa to support them by warning people away from the executions. They briefly stopped by the house of Paullus Accius Arius to amend their plan. The party wanted as few people as possible at the executions.
The party finalised plans and Heskan awoke just before sundown. They made haste to the event. Elnorin (a rat) hid off to one side, Ruric was in the crowd, Heskan was nearby in an alley way and Braith concealed herself on the rooftops.
The Prophet preached, Ban Lior watached on and Garbhan prepared to hang the first person. Elnorin was working on nibbling the ropes but it was Heskan who stepped forward to buy time. The silent challenge between human and dragonborn was made. The fight lasted a shortwhile before Garbhan's supremacy worried Ruric enough to intervene. Ruric's magic damaged Garbhan enough to distract him. Heskan used the opportunity to behead Garbhan, ending the life of Ban Lior's trusted lieutenant. Ban Lior, true to form, withdrew from the fray at this point. He was wounded by an arrow from Braith but mysteriously drained the life from a nearby guard to heal himself. His bodyguards withdrew him to the castle whilst the party felled half a dozen guards. They found the Prophet had fled and pursued her underground. She walled herself off using children to stand in the entrance. The party attacked from range whilst Heskan carefully pushed passed the children. Ruric's mind was overwhelmed by dark whispers but the rest of the party felled The Prophet. Beaten and bloody, the party gathered the children and took them to The Coloured Wheel. Elnorin took a moment to take the Book of Asmodea as they left. A howl rang out across the town and the party spotted the Yeth Hound standing midair, searching for them.
They spent the night hidden the the inn's basement.
14/4/300 - Over the night the party sat in darkness and in silence. They heard the hooves of the Stag Lord's steed and the prowling Yeth Hound. Tired they arrived back at the safehouse to discover that Wynne was missing and Ban Lior had sealed himself in the castle. The town was leaderless. The party took the opportunity to catch up on sleep before planning the next step.
