Day 11 (evening) -
Having duelled Emilia, the party seek entrance in but are barred by the Eventide due to the presence of Namhias. Negotiations were initially unsuccessful (with Ruric Ironfoot and Heskan objecting to the near demand of a bribe and Braith being unsure of it) but Elnorin told Arinet to pay them and the group were allowed in.
They headed through the streets, civilians fleeing their path, where they found the Almshouse. After discovering it's owner was none too impressed with them, they came to an accord. They found it full of poor Hobgoblins and Shadowborn. Bankanir showed a natural talent for entertaining children.
The party paid for their stay and joined the other residents for dinner. Doru warmed to the party, grateful for their help.
Day 12
Ruric cast tongues of Heskan and the party went to explore. In the market Heskan had his prayer book pickpocketed.
They investigated the temple and the river side.
Through out their time they'd noticed observers who seemed to head back to the temple. Some of them withdrew glowing, white ribbons from their mind and passed these to runners. One such observer was now spotted in the open but fled investigation.
Next they went to see the blacksmith near the almshouse, a local Shadowborn called Crovan. He agreed to repair Heskan's armour but his odd, silvery/red tattoos made Elnorin and Ruric feel uncomfortable.
They continued to wander, eventually returning to the market to find a local swine for food at the almshouse.
On their return they spoke with Arinet who had been to the temple. They learned that she had met with Ashok, the local religious leader. She noted that his was the only mask she'd seen that was asymmetrical.
The group noticed, around this time, their follower was still outside. A brief chase later and he escaped.
Day 13
Elnorin fed Namhias with goodberry.
Heskan used locate object to track his book to a house of orphans. They told the party that many orphans go missing then seem to join the temple later. They think Ashok is frightening.
The group spoke by the water, having earlier noticed two new people following them.
They waited outside the temple before entering.
