Day 13 (morning)
As they fled arrows rained down on them. Namhias was already unconscious but Heskan and Ruric Ironfoot would soon join him. Elnorin managed to keep them alive. Some guards headed off, distracted by something behind them and the four party members drifted off down the river.
They drifted on for a while, struggling to reach shore with paddles trapped beneath the unconscious drake. They eventually made sure and the group rested.
The three of them journeyed back to town via an indirect loop. On this journey they met three Stallo that threatened a group of scouts. The hollow this battle took place in was dangerous, with Heskan being kicked off the top of the edge to the bottom. Eventually they were successful and saved the Shadowborn Eventide scouts who stayed behind to heal their friend (who had been used as a club against Heskan).
The group made their way back to Duskhaven, watching the gates from a concealed position.
Braith and Amidir Min'Alth checked on the people they'd just saved who were safe. News was passed to Amidir that Ashok was going to speak to the town in the temple square. A shocking fact given he was assumed to be dead. Codruta left to go and listen, asking Amidir to keep an eye on the outsiders once they reunited.
Amidir talked them by the guards and the group met up outside town. Here they rested.
Day 14
Arinet speaks with Braith about her duty conflicting with her love Bankinir. Braith acted more as a sounding board but Arinet decided that her duty to her people was more important. Her people would lose much lore if she left.
They emerged from their hiding place to see the town in peril. Various fires rose through the city.
Leaving Namhias hidden, the group slipped into the town via a grate in the wall. They managed to get Heskan's armour from Crovan. It seemed that Ashok had declared war on those not worshipping Asmodea. Many were being forced into servitude of the One-Eyed Tyrant. Some resisted, baring the mark of a Raven's wing in ash on their face. The others wore an eye symbol carved on their mask.
Several skirmishes later and the group reached the approach to the Temple Square. Amidir's earlier scouting had shown several altars and destruction. A rousing speech following a hypnotic pattern broke several Eventide from their path, rallying them to their banner. Amidir peels off from the group to make his way for the Fortress of Memories whilst the rest (with 14 guards in tow) head for the square...
