The group sets about some personal errands. There's some rumours around about the political state of the Regni and it seems only the Regni and Caledonii have rights of change within their tribes.
Braith heads to walk around town and meets a washer man, who she discusses things with. She learns that some of the younger folk of Isurium are unhappy with the Brigantes neutral stance and want to take an active role in shaping Vannin. She is also spied on by one of Cloda's followers (the same one who watched them at Declan's hut).
Heskan continued his tradition of making friends with Caledonii and befriended Arn, a halfling male who was practicing tossing long tree trunks (that he called a caber). Heskan joined in and the two became friendly over the course of the afternoon.
Elnorin sat in contemplation for a while and Ruric slept. After waking he spoke with Bankanir.
The group began to regather in preparation for the evening meal in their honour. They headed over early and helped with preparations. Braith met Canola Aimsir Bhrea (an old, human woman) who grinned and accepted help. Braith noticed that she was a student of sympathetic magic and had the service of a hob (who moved unseen as they prepared the feast).
In the evening they all met Arn and enjoyed a drink, before spending time with Taliesin and Callum Windwhisper. The charismatic Taliesin was taken with the idea of a story about the Venicone and, later, the party took the chance (with Braith performing illusory magic) to tell the tale of the founding.
Following this the Regni spoke Banrion Cloda Eireanrugadh, called 'Ironborn', spoke. She spoke of Regni tradition, of wanting a right of challenge to leadership (as is within Regni and Caledonii tradition) and took the opportunity to quote infamous dwarven playwright Marcus Pacuvius in saying "I was bound not by iron imposed by anyone else but by iron of my own choice" which was a quote associated with certain diabolic cult activity within the height of Dwarven Imperial power.
Heskan headed back due to Namhias being unsettled. The group chose to leave en masse. They returned to find Namhias being attacked and were assaulted by the overly inquisitive Regni spy who was slain after a short battle. Whilst triage happened, mostly for Namhias, Be Chuille Blackstaff entered and demanded to know "Where is it?"
