The party cover the last of the ground to Sheskin. They are, somewhat customarily by now, greeted by the local soldiers (The Kerns of Sheskin) to investigate the group (mostly Namhias). The Kerns were content that they meant no harm and let them by.
They proceeded to the north stables where a pair of halfling children took care of the animals. The group moved into town and headed up to the Hall of Stone where Ri Cormac O'Cloch holds power.
The group walked up the hill to reach the Hall of Stone. Here they were greeted by the sight of the Creach Righ (King's raid) training. The party approached and, after stating she was a champion carrying news from the north, she was admitted to the hall. In hear more of the warrior caste sat about whilst Ri Cormac O'Cloch lazily observed his subjects. They spoke with the abrasive king who called for Feargus, a bear of a man, to fight to Braith to prove her might as a Champion. Braith stated that her appointment as Champion was due to her deeds, not her fighting ability. Cormac took this as a forfeit and dismissed the group.
Walking back through town, they passed the shrine. Here Heskan prayed and, upon asking for guidance, caught the flicker of something in his peripheral vision. Elnorin cast a spell and determined it was a scrying spell (likely cast by Kartash or Syndrid). They were interrupted by the local druid Eamonn. He talked with them, identified Fail-Not by sight and took their warnings of Cult activity serious. He said that he'd heard news from the druids of Finowen, in south Darini lands, that they had routed out a strange cult worshipping the One-Eyed Lady (a Brigantes name for Asmodea) and that one had sent him a book matching the description of The Book of Asmodea from their adventures in Carnspor. He also spoke of the oddity of the local woods, an area that has (in the past) driven hunters mad. He himself had no success in dealing with the problem.
The group, seeing it was still mid-morning, journeyed out to the woods and found a clearing. Here sat, they presumed, the Workshop of Hadar. A single Kobold sentry kept watch. After some failed negotiations, some evaded traps and a tiny net the party engaged in battle with some now insane kobolds. Most of them were slain but two terrified ones were coaxed into surrender by Heskan. The party also found out the Sniv had been exiled from the group having tried to force change of the group towards a betterment of their moral outlook.
With the battle won, the group listened to the ground (at the behest of their strange prisoners) and Elnorin heard a strange, unearthly growl from below the ground.
