14/07/300 - Following their success it's time for the party to celebrate.
15/07/300 - At the start of the day Braith delivers the fang of the great worm, complete with leather work showing the creature, and retells the story for Eamonn. Eamonn says he will pass this tale on.
Eamonn asked thm for an orb of malachite, cobalt shavings and carageen moss from the Brigantes at The Moot.
The party set off, diverting to the Workshop of Hadar to seal the underground chamber and ensuring it is still empty. The wall sits down the secret passageway behind the mechanism but in front of the stairs. Some valuables were left in front of the wall to imply that was what was hidden.
16/07/300 - 19/7/300 - Travel to Chenbog. During this time Emrhys contacted them. Ruric has asked for them to replicate the Sending Stone.
20/07/300 - 22/07/300 Travel south. On the first day they find a standing stone circle, apparently of human construction, from pre-History.
22/07/300 - After a long day of travel the party make camp. An hour into Ruric's watch an arrow lands on the floor near him. He rouses the camp but nothing happens. Leaving Bankanir and Namhias behind to guard the mounts, the rest of the party push out to find the source of the arrow. The area reveals absolutely no tracks. At camp, Bankanir is struck down with arrows. They race back, saving Bankanir from bleeding out. Eventually Ruric ventures out in the other direction and Ruric is struck down with a volley of arrows. Heskan dashes after him. After a short while a fire arrow is launched into camp, burning Braith's tent.
The party remain on guard for the rest of the night. Ruric covers a theory that this is a drawn out method of exhausting the party and will eventually result in an attack. Elnorin recalls this as the modus operandi of the Dubh Catha, the Black Crow and legendary head of the Darklings. The group decide to move and spend an hour locating a defensible copse.
23/07/300 - Awake and exhausted, the party begin to sleep. Darklings, not being able to deal with bright light, would likely not be able to help. An hour into Ruric's watch a cloaked figure stands a way off to the west, watching. The Dubh Catha, it seems, does not mind the sun. A few fire arrows later, and some disturbed sleep, the party chase the fae assassin down. Eventually Elnorin and Heskan bring him to battle. As Elnorin is laid low, Ruric arrives to distract the Black Crow. More of the group arrives on the scene and a protracted fight ensures. Elnorin, Heskan, Namhias and Ruric were all laid low at times by the supernatural speed of the fae assassin. Eventually he was brought low after nearly killing most of the group. The party having slain the head of their long time pursuers.
