Late that evening the party arrive at Praesidium. Here they find lodgings whilst Tian speaks to some locals playing Ratscrew. Belam, Batthu and Cofesee spent the night at the Brass Dagger whilst Tian takes up residence at The Emerald Chalice.
01/07/42 Aper Tertius
Tian takes a lazy morning before negotiating work as a 'facilitator' for Malika, proprietor of the Emerald Chalice, in exchange for rooms for the group. She agrees a 20% cut for him of the cash made in excess to her normal business.
Batthu heads to the Dwarven temple where she asks to use the library. Here she helps organise the scrolls and researches the encrypted note.
Cofesee accompanied Batthu but spent his time talking to Falx, the High Cleric. He spoke that the solutions to the Great Storms are one of Order vs Chaos. When reading the runes he saw a solution via learning, study and planning. He also saw a solution of primal power, a sympathetic magic that may solve this.
Belam collected his pay before heading the meet Secunda Artorius Servia. He was talked to by her assistant, Genna, and he explained that they had found a note from some kobolds. Genna explained the crook symbol was that of The Shepherd, a dangerous underground figure in Praesidium. Servia was called over an invited the party to dinner that night.
Back at the Rusty Dagger the party discussed things, Tian had to apologise to his new employer about now being busy on his first night. He offered to praise her directly to Servia and was given a bottle of wine as a gift to pass on.
Batthu and Cofesee cracked the Shepherd's code whilst the others shopped for smarter clothes.
