The grove is overseen, apparently, by a statue of the Green Knight. Carved from wood and standing around 8 feet tall, the statue shows nothing but an idealised humanoid male body. Heskan briefly kneels, feeling the pressure of the ancient magic upon him. Sparrows adorn the branches and the party are quizzed about their activities be the female ranger who is still yet to introduce herself. She tells them that the Green Knight protects this place and they would be wise to be honest. After most statements the woman stares up at the statue.
Elnorin notes she continually looks at a particular sparrow. The sparrow soon reveals itself to be Cori, the former druid of Finowen. She has grown despondent with the townsfolk and is now attempting to protect the loyal. They refuse to go back to the secret location they are staying at so Ashling, the human ranger, goes back to ask for volunteers. The party persuade Cori to help them. Cori explains that the temple idol is what gives many followers their warlock powers and that destroying it should render most of the villagers without access to fel magics.
Cori speaks of the Green Knight and the origins of the grove with Elnorin. She also speaks with Heskan revealing that Nervein, Nymbryxion's son, hunts these woods as part of his education. She was expecting him relatively soon.
Ashling brings back two hunters (Bryce and Gavin).
Braith hunts a great boar.
That night they eat well and Braith tells stories.
That night Nervein arrives at the grove. He speaks with Heskan who does his best to push away the offer of help. Nervein decides that he must help push back the evil in the town. He transforms into a strapping example of a dragonborn and joins the camp.

The group spend the morning planning before deciding to reconnoiter the town. Cori takes them a more direct route and speeds their progress with her magic. It's early evening before they reach the other bank. Elnorin flies over the town, searching for the idol, and discovers it is in the great hall. The group decide an earlier idea, Heskan challenging Colman, may work best. Cori sends an animal messenger and the group go to make a public display over how weak Asmodea is.
Colman is already there with Heskan's weapons. A large crowd already gathered to watch. The pair duel.
Colman launches into a terrifying flurry, dropping Heskan in no time at all. As he drags Heskan to the fountain in the middle of Three Legged Cross, he begins to set up for an execution. With Heskan's head on the stonework of the fountain, he takes a large swing. Elnorin casts a ranged heal into Heskan and Colman brings his axe down into the fountain, shattering the stone with his unholy smite. The duel continues but Colman proves no match for Heskan.
Colman is defeated and asks Heskan to 'avenge him'.
Heskan delivered a speech to the gathered townsfolk, most of whom march towards the great hall with the party.
