The group explore the ruins and discover that is the remnants of a single temple. It had once been buried in a cave but some accident had caused a massive explosion, sinking/breaking the central stature and columns whilst blowing the roof out for miles around.
Cefesee found some canopic jars, three broken and one still sealed. The group decided not to open the remaining jar. Batthu found a series of tablets half buried in the sand.
Belam spotted a figure watching them and retreating. The group followed and saw nothing but some falling dirt. Belam climbed up and saw a Thri-Kreen watching them. Eventually Tian climbed up to join the half-orc leading to a conversation began in draconic (from Tian) and gestures from the Thri-Kreen. The Thri-Kreen was not alone as he revealed another with him. Where the first was armed with curved swords of mysterious construction, the second was unamred.
Batthu would join them. She spoke with the second Thri-Kreen who answered some questions with more gestures. It also used psionic powers to sculpt sand into a figure. Eventually Batthu cast comprehend languages. They found out that the temple was to Kauket, a goddess of some sinister nature, her follower Setesh was the most famour among the long lineage of the priesthood here. He journeyed from this place to a place called 'The End' (comprehend languages giving an exact translation of the name). His remaining followers tried to repeat on of his spells and caused the explosion. Setesh was, apparently, a necromancer. The sculpting of Setesh showed he was a handsome man weilding a staff of power inscribed with the words 'To whom wields this staff I grant power'.
The Thri-Kreen were called Waterseeker and Dustdancer (the armed one). They also pointed out that within the past few days another party had visited, they went into the caves beneath the temple and had not returned. The party said they would investigate, given the entrance was hidden at the rear of the temple.
