On the surface the group briefly speak with Waterseeker who indicate that they will be heading east over the river. They have a limited ability to communicate over range but there's a chance that Batthu could learn a spell that would be more effective. The pair set off east leaving the party heading north.
Cefesee steers the group around a sand snake nest during the day but the days travel is uneventful. They can see the river plain is beginning to flood.
That night, during Cefesee's watch, lights began to appear over the river. On investigation he found three lights drifting over the river, one of which headed towards him. It appeared to be a Will O the Wisp and Cefesee easily stopped it from invading his mind. Wanting to know more he went to wake Batthu. She became enchanted by the fey creature who sought to lead her off. The camp is roused, with Tian becoming enraptured too. The Wisp leads them towards the river. There's much argument from Belam, who attempts to stop them (given the overt dangers of the riverbanks). The group are attacked by a huge snake, with a head where it's tail should be. It's scales glisten in an odd manner but that's of little concern as it squeezes the like out of Tian. Belam beheads both ends with Tian calling out support.
Following the battle 'Glowy' (as the Wisp is now named) bobs over the water. Belam, not trusting the creature, drags Batthu off and Tian is escorted away by Cefesee. Tian eventually goes into the water and pulls out a wand of dark wood. He alarms Batthu and Cefesee as he waves it around. At camp it's identified as a 'Wand of Viscous Globs' and is wrapped up safe.

The group travel north with little incident.
That night there are more lights over the river but these are less focused. Batthu wakes Tian and the pair retrieve a sample of the water. As she comes in contact with the water, Batthu grows 6 inches due to the wild magic surging across the surface. The pair resolve to ensure that no-one else notices.

Debris can be seen on the river as crates and tents bob down. Belam heads to reel in a crate but is rendered invisible and unheard by the wild magic. He appears a short while later and the group ready to open the crate he's obtained....
