Arindel is an independent port city and trade hub. Ships from Krythar dock here frequently. But their rich cargoes attract pirates to the waters nearby.

Zorgon the red dragon has a lair in the sewers below the city. He has wicked sorcerers as henchmen and other unsavory followers who do his bidding. This has created a hostility to magic among the citizens. So sorcery is outlawed.
