First met in the late winter in southern Scarabae, in the hills outside the Vasillimach Estate. Lord Crembeule's huntsman Jens led Ty and Crazy Bear to find her, so she could show them the way to find the Iron Boar that was haunting the woods. She was immediately enamored of Crazy Bear's bear form (though he was in human form, as a druid she could see through that disguise) and pestered him to change form. When he did she thought that was pretty neat; she took him to her cave and ravished him while also experimenting with his shapeshifting. Over the next couple of days they hunted and killed together, restored a standing stone site (that helped reinforce the Stone Table, a site of old and brutal magic, where they fought the Iron Boar), and generally cavorted through the woods at the top of the food chain. Crazy Bear told her his real name, Asbjorn, which he had not told anyone else. She can apparently understand what he says in bear form.
After she went with the Company to the Island of the Stone Table (it's really an isthmus, but the land bridge is apparently haunted) skyclad in woad, Crazy Bear asked her to go with them to the Scavenger Lands. She agreed on the condition he would not leave her behind on the journey, and she agreed.
She is short, perky, vicious, and unapologetically misanthropic and predatory. She has paired shoulder-blade bone hatchets.
- Nature's Weaponry (ring) Touch a natural weapon, usually claws or jaws, and manifest a version of that weapon as a single or paired weapon until you release the enchantment or sleep. Up to very heavy weapon, can take on a single trait of the copied natural weaponry.
Cassowary is level 8. She has 5 Wounds.
