Flying ship.

Powered by a matrix created by the Armies of the World Above, and crafted by the dwarven smiths of Bloodtatter Forge, this flying ship is modeled off a knarr design, with a helm added.
The ship seems able to fly for about half as long as it rests, at a rate of about 40 mph. It seems to hold a charge better the further east the ship is, and falter after crossing the mountains of the Iron Principalities and Caligari.
Dr. Blessed Vernon, an outlaw scholar based in the Glass Corridor alley in Caligari, arranged to trade the Platinum Tag for the matrix and the expertise to adapt the ship, which was formerly a stone ship the dwarves used to sail through the interior of the earth. He put them in touch with Cocoawings, a gnome, who put them in touch with Islegarden, the dwarven forgemaster who did the work of adapting the ship to the matrix, condensing the time they waited by doing the work in an alternate timeline. They acquired the ship in winter of 7004.
Piloting the ship requires commitment, and a pilot must be connected to the helm and the matrix for the energy to flow. When in the water, the ship operates as normal. In general, it seems when the matrix is active, the ship hydroplanes off Prime just a bit, adding to its defenses and somewhat to its stealth, drawing power to move from the friction between dimensions processed through the matrix and into the dimensionally enchanted structure of the ship's physical form.
- Thanvas 7005. The matrix power was automatically and remotely shunted to open a gate in Snetch's Tower. As the ship fell, Kail tried to use the failsafe of shunting life energy from several people into the ship (instead of the Matrix power) and it worked, but he was inexpert and burned out, his bones burning and his hair turning white. Rhys used life magic, which worked, but may or may not have caused complications. Energy flared out through runes to slow the fall, but required Commitment still. The ship didn't take much damage, but the mast broke (and could be repaired without too much trouble.)
