The Fizzlebangs were the premier "Gnomeworks" proprietors in Carthorn. They treated invention with the same reverence others treat religion.

1. The Patriarch: Barnaby "The Bevel" Fizzlebang, deceased 4991

Role: Master Gem-Cutter & Patent Magistrate

• Class: Expert 5 / Wizard 3 (Specialist: Illusionist)

• Stats: High INT and DEX.

• Personality: Meticulous, smells of ozone and pipe tobacco. He wears a specialized monocle that functions as a Magnifying Glass (+2 Appraise).

• Function: He handled the high-end jewelry and the legal registration of new gnomish inventions. He likely died at his desk, clutching a set of masterwork jeweler's tools.

2. The Matriarch: Dimble Fizzlebang, deceased 4991

Role: Alchemist & Foundry Overseer

• Class: Adept 6 / Expert 2

• Stats: High CON and WIS.

• Personality: The "fire" of the family. She managed the basement foundry and the enchanted moss fuel.

• Function: Dimble brewed the solvents used for etching glass and the "Alchemist's Fire" that kept the forge at a constant $2,200^{\circ}F$ for melting rare alloys.

3. The Eldest Son: Pipin Fizzlebang  deceased 4991

Role: Master of Mechanisms (Trap Designer)

• Personality: Effervescent and persuasive.

• Function: She managed the "Cozy Corner" and the showroom. She could sell a rusted gear to a dwarf as a "vintage kinetic sculpture."
