The Stormber

The Stormber, or Viharsíki, are a proud and fierce people hailing from the northern plains of the continent. They have a strong warrior culture and are known for their exceptional horsemanship and combat skills. Inspired by the real-life Magyars, the Stormber people have a rich history of warfare and conquest.

Appearance: Stormber people are typically tall and muscular, with fair skin, varying shades of brown or blonde hair, and striking blue or green eyes. They often wear braided hairstyles and have a preference for functional clothing made of leather and furs.

Society: Stormber society is organized into clans, tribes, and bands, with each group having a leader and a specific purpose within the larger community. They value personal freedom and do not believe in slavery. The Stormber people are deeply spiritual and adhere to a polytheistic religion, with reverence for their ancestors and a strong connection to the natural world.

Culture: The Stormber people are expert horsemen, and their primary mode of transportation is horseback. They are also skilled in archery, lancing, and melee combat. Hunting and raiding are central aspects of their way of life, as they rely on these activities for sustenance and resources.

The Stormber people have a long history of conquest and expansion, having established themselves in the region of Pagen some 650 years ago. Over the years, they have become influenced by the original Pagen culture, which was inspired by medieval German society.

In the present day, the Stormber people continue to hold positions of power and influence within Pagen, with their descendants ruling as kings and forming important clans, tribes, and bands throughout the land. Their warrior tradition remains strong, and they play a vital role in the protection and defense of Pagen and its interests.

"Stormber" is "Viharsík" in their language. "Vihar" means storm, and "sík" means plain or flatland. So, the Stormber people would be called "Viharsíki" in their native language.
