Gold Court

The marketplace known as the Gold Court is located in the Grand Ward—home to the patriars, the wealthiest citizens of Penhaligon.

Visitors to this district find streets illuminated by magical lights, luxurious boutiques, and expensive restaurants. The elegantly dressed residents treat poorer people with great disdain. The Grand Ward is truly a place of exclusive decadence; a nightly curfew means that those who don't live there must leave at nightfall each day unless they have a special token.

Almost anything can be found in the Gold Court. Vendors can operate here without official licenses and taxation, as long as their wares are legal. Even so, the Gold Court is not immune to corruption: hefty bribes and reputations determine where every vendor is situated in the marketplace. On 4/2/1001, Tresendar estate went shopping in the area. They visited Gems For All, Autumn's Breads, Heath's Hot Drink, Coppers to Crowns, Amberdune Books and Wizards of the Gold Court. the watch followed them as they went to investigate Amberdune Books in search for answers from an attack on Alexandra Library.

The Watch has a large presence in this area. It deploys squads to the location for needed.
