To encourage the Elvengard to stay these homes were built for their families

These homes are different from the ones built by the regular military forces. Not only are they elven design and built but Lord Gregory encourages them to adjust or upgrade these units. These units are away from the training areas. Sythandria, Sylva, and Stellara live in this area of town. Sythandria is outside with the most lavish elven home.
