Boggert's Bog was once the beautiful Boggert's Bay, until the day that the sun Ator, all the planets, and all the moons of Nevea, including Erona, lined up, causing a rising tide that permanently swamped the bay, including Port Charles. The Aquilans, warned of this event by astrologers, won a great victory at the Battle of Boggert's Bay, and Aquilan independence.
