Port Arthur/Castle Bellose

Port Arthur sits on the southern coast of the Kingdom of Gordovia, just below Bellose Castle. Bellose allows the citizens a certain amount of freedom, but collects hefty taxes in return. Port Arthur was the scene of a horrible slaughter when Imperial troops attempted to take the city during the War of Sorrow. The Imperials, demoralized by their defeat, retreated from Gordovia, never to return.

UPDATE: Under Lady Kaley Bellose's rule, Port Arthur is under perpetual siege as the toehold of the Kingdom of Aquila on Gordovian soil. Princess Artania has directed that Gordovian trade take the long route through Seamouth instead, which is strangling Port Arthur of trade and tourism.

Queen Ayala has responded by sending auxiliaries to guard Port Arthur and deter an attack. This interference makes Princess Artania all the more determined not to loosen her squeeze on the port city.

Queen Ayala is providing supplies to keep Port Arthur alive, but it is draining Aquilan resources. She would start a war, but the Aquilan people are still smarting from past defeats in Gordovia and don't want another invasion.

The people of Port Arthur are suffering greatly due to this stubborn conflict between these three women. They are looking for a way out, a savior, someone who can make peace between the factions so that Port Arthur can thrive again.

UPDATE: Thanks to a secret deal between Princess Artania and Royal Roy Wheel, Aquilan troops have surrendered Ayalastone, and departed the shores of Gordovia. Queen Sapphire Verona has Lady Kayla under siege, but she refuses to surrender except to the legitimate crowned king. Princess Artania has summoned King Xaren to accept Lady Kayla's surrender.
