The Nine Kingdoms have fallen on semi-permanent hard times, after the Empire pulled out, the Kingdoms fell to warring among themselves. The wars only ended when the Imperial Bridges were destroyed. Now the Kingdoms are isolated from each other, and isolated from the rest of the world.
