Oily Troll Tavern

See the innkeeper, Chas Rednose, and he may have a job for you to do.

UPDATE: Chas is a veteran of the Gunpowder war serving as a mercenary for the wizard Zender, and his nose was shot off during the Battle of the Purple Tower in 4013. That is why he is called "Rednose."

After the war, he wandered the world as a mercenary and adventurer, hiring out his sword to the highest bidder.

When he retired in 4033, he used his loot to purchase the Oily Troll, the grungiest and nastiest inn in Port Charles. Pigeon stew is one of the least disgusting things on the menu, but rats, cats, mice, squirrels, and "indescribables" may also end up in the stew.

Chas works as a spy for various parties and runs his own freelance intelligence agency. Prisoners captured by Chas' organization will be interrogated in the cellar, and after they are no longer useful, they will end up in the stew.

UPDATE: Chas has retired and he took his retirement fund with him, which he had tricked the trolls into guarding by making them think it was their's. The trolls' reaction was swift, violent, and very nasty, they broke into the tavern, murdered dozens of staff and customers, and ate them. The heroes have been "asked" to clean up the troll problem by Nemes of the Last Word, with the promise that they won't be burned as heretics if they complete the job satisfactorily.
