Under the influence of City Chancellor Sir Thomas Blackcastle, the Mount Zardeq Chancellory of Justice is one of the only honest institutions of government in Port Charles, and indeed, the entire Kingdom of Aquila.

The Chancellory is built of wood, as are all other buildings in Port Charles, but the front was built with a marble face to make it more impressive. Unfortunately, the swamp air has caused the marble to decay and crumble, and the marble is blackened with smoke from the insect-repelling braziers set up all over the city.
