The Mithral Sea has been described by human travellers as a place of idyllic wonder in the Dwarvenhome Mountains. Only the dwarves can truly appreciate its beauty, for to them it has been home for more than 10,000 years.

There are rumors of a vast dwarven city, even larger and older than Glamdangering, which was lost when a meteor hit the Dwarvenhome Mountains and created the Mithral Sea. Some say this dwarven city is only legend and myth. The original name is lost to memory, but the dwarves call it Aeronshaaem, which means "Original Home" in the Ancient Dwarvish tongue. Another rumor is that the Platinum Dragon Dindrelsheinne has made his home in Aeronshaaem, guarding its vast treasures and hoarding it for himself.
