Baltimore, Maryland is a bustling city in the late 1800s. Famed for its shipbuilding, the city has been the preeminent location for construction of commercial and military vessels. By the 1770s, Baltimore had built the most maneuverable ships in the world - building blockade runners, privateers, and warships. This trend continues to this day, with the fasted aeroship coming from Baltimore shipyards and engineers. Baltimore is also home to a diverse population, including African Americans, who lived in close proximity to one another and mingled regularly.

Selected as the capital after the failed revolution, it is considered teh center of American culture, capital, and industry.
