Exinates

The world is full of those seeking adventure, but not all who travel the world are true Explorers. The Exinates are the order of explorers from around the continent focused on recovering ancient artifacts of the ages gone by.  Not just anyone can be trained by the Order of Exin, but those who make it through their training are considered independent explorers with only one oath - Ancient artifacts belong in a museum for all people to appreciate and study.

A true Exinate seeks to further knowledge by uncovering relics of the past, or discovering new lands and untamed wildlife. Wealth can be a goal, but is often secondary to the pursuit of the unknown. They come from a variety of backgrounds, and from all countries of the Sycharia. Often competitive with each other, they are often distrustful of others of their kind, but they can be fast friends and those of specific note are often sought out for their particular skills. Whether acting on their own, or as guides for a wealthy backer's expedition, they are seen as the ultimate authority for their domain, and foolish is the man who does not heed their advice. Branded as mavericks, thieves, foolhardy adventurers, or worse, one still cannot deny their skills and tenacity for getting out of the stickiest situations. 

After the Attack on Doheag by Tidestone agents, the Order of Exin was banished.  The Exinates scattered throughout the continent.  The High Exinate, Uther Capertill, disappeared and is rumored to be in search of the ancient Lost City of Khaoritan.
