Bustling, colorful seaside town

Score 1312

03/26/21

Seaside town, bustling and loud and colorful, all manner of people

Not well guarded within the walls, but the wall guards are strict with people exiting and entering - some can be paid off, but none are cowards - They guard the east gate and the west gate, taxing any goods or money leaving the city

Wizard Tower stands in the middle of town, rumored to be completely abandoned

Many taverns, many shops, many places to buy or sell anything you can think of

Ships come and go from the docks at all hours, lit by a massive lighthouse

Laws are more like suggestions here, but human trafficking and slave trade are forbidden by the gangs who do police the city.

There is a Dockmaster who runs the docks and has influence with everyone in the city. No ships can sail or dock without his say. He's strict when he is low on money, collecting bribes to let ships dock, and extra taxes when they sail. When he is flush, he is more lenient. He loves to gamble and drink. - Erik Nogbottle - Master Nogbottle, Tall, Round, red faced, unshaven, beady little eyes in a permanent suspicious squint.

Inside the walls its run by various gangs, divided into territories that are fought over constantly

The Coralli

Red Brands

Stone Feet

Crows

There's a wealthy side of town, the north, where the merchants and traders live - this area is run by the Coralli - protection rackets, keeping the streets safe, that sort of thing. They won't hesitate to rob or destroy businesses that don't pay, but this part of town is safe as can be if you are good with the Coralli.
