03/13/21Jylan Tak who become the god, Tuis, once lived in a mighty stronghold here. She planned many of the assaults on the Xitalian Empire from this location. It was here her alchemist perfected the grenades used in the war. Imbued with magical power, Jylan Tak used them to great effect in the larger battles. During the reign of the Khaori, this location became a sacred site for many. Here, the empire revered those lost in the battles of the great Xitalian Wars. After her ascension, the captain of the armies of the Khaori used this fortress as their residence.
When the Khaori empire slowly fell into darkness and corruption, the military leader at the time, a hobgoblin named Captain Bahgrash Felliron from the Sky Peaks regions, actually mounted a rebellion to try and stop the Nameless from accomplishing their goal of ascension. Captain Bahgrash eventually retreated here where the necromancers of the temple of the dead in Khaoritan surrounded him. He and his Hobgoblin troops swore an oath to die upon the sword and arrow to the last man to defend the honor of Jylan Tak, but in the middle of the most fierce part of the battle, they were all trapped inside the fortress by the advent of the Great Cataclysm and the beginning of Ash Fall and the Gloom.
The servants of Bahgrash were now bound to this location to protect the crumbling fortress. The remains of the fortress have been breached 3 times in the 2,000 years as the desecrated ground cursed by the elvish necromancers who died there and the power of the eternal oath made by the soldiers of Bahgrash has haunted the region and gathered souls unto it for those foolish enough to camp near the site.
The first breach occurred in 874 A.F. when a battalion of Zugat Bear Clan traveled there and recovered many items from the armory.
It was then that the ancient sword known more recently as, Zohil, the Vengeance Blade, was discovered in the Dark Ages of Sycharia. It's true name is lost to history, (Zohil was the Jarl King that wielded it in the Dark Ages and the wars against the necromancers). The second breach occurred in 2014 A.F. by the lost platoon and General Ig'Naar. The Zugat Honor Patrol visited here and paid homage to the location before traveling on to find Khaoritan.
The third breach occurred in 2019 A.F. by a group of explorers and adventurers. There they encountered the cursed spirit of Captain Bahgrash and defeated him in honorable combat freeing the spirits of those bound to the place.
