A cold barren island of shrines

A cold barren place. Grasses changed to grow in cold cling as best they can, and a small forest of thick pine trees cling here and there. The land is buffeting with waves.

There are no people living here, but both larger neighboring continents hold this place as a holy land to make soul searching pilgrimages to. The place is bespeckled with shrines, idols, and symbols that attest to the spirit. Many religious tokens are here, attesting to many visitors of faith.

There is a magical or clerical force here, but it seems undirected, more a result of nature than an enchanted magic.
