Mithral Hall, a renowned dwarven stronghold, lies deep beneath Fourthpeak Mountain in the Frost Hills, part of the Spine of the World. Originally a rich mithral mine for Clan Battlehammer, this subterranean city has become a bastion for many dwarven families and even a few non-dwarven residents. Known across Faerun for both its storied history of hardship and its ultimate resurgence, Mithral Hall has witnessed generations of legendary triumphs and devastating losses that have shaped the lives of many within its walls.

Access to Mithral Hall is limited; two primary entrances exist, along with hidden, narrow chimneys for ventilation. Inside, a maze of tunnels, caves, and chambers unfolds, navigable only by experienced guides or those who have spent years exploring its depths. The city is ever-growing as the dwarves continue to mine for mithral, expanding their settlement steadily over the years.

Mithral Hall is a fully self-sufficient underground community with taverns, forges, workshops, homes, and shrines dedicated to Moradin, Clangeddin, and Dumathoin. Its lowest levels also open into the Underdark, a feature that both enriches the Hall’s strategic significance and poses a potential danger.
