The county reaches from the coastal towns of Kingsport and Innsmouth along the Atlantic Ocean, to the inland hillocks near Arkham, and extends northward into the wild forests of The Blasted Heath. To the south, the valley blends into the southern hills and lakes near Salem, while to the west, it merges with the fringes of Dunwich, a notorious locale often regarded as one of the most haunted and mysterious areas in the UCAS.

Beyond the boundaries of Massachusetts, Rhode Island plays an integral role in the larger mythos of Lovecraft County. Providence, the largest city in the state, stands as the heart of the region’s occult and intellectual traditions.
