In Moldova, the shadow of Count Dracula looms large as he seeks to expand his dark dominion. The region is rife with crossed, ghosts, and eerie cults. The Rapine Wind, which swept across the area after the 2030 Incident, has left the landscape scarred, with haunted forests and abandoned villages teeming with vampires and ghouls. Some believe that Moldova is Dracula’s personal laboratory for the most horrific and bizarre of his experiments.

Cult Influence and Rising Dangers:

The cult known as the Elder Tides operates out of the Moldovan underground, using the Rapine Wind to open rifts into other worlds. These rifts are unstable, and creatures from the Deep Ones to shadows from the Dreamlands are often glimpsed in the vicinity. They believe that Dracula’s power is key to their prophecy, and they are determined to awaken the Great Old Ones with his help. The Bloodwrought—a group of vampires who have merged their bodies with the strange telesma that flows from the rifts—serve as their elite shock troops.

The No-Go Zones in Chisinau and the Moldovan borderlands are controlled by corporate mercenaries who deal in illicit cybernetic enhancements and occult artifacts. Olympus ESWAT has made attempts to stabilize the region, but their operations are often compromised by Dracula’s influence. Hacker gangs, like the Red Sun Syndicate, smuggle arcane data and stolen unique items out of Moldova for black-market clients.
